The Tire and Rubber Division with its divisional base located in the United Kingdom, engaged TRS Consulting to identify a Key Account Manager for their North and South American markets. The candidate would be based out of a US facility and report to the Divisional Manager, Global Rubber Team in the UK. Due to substantial growth in the North and South American markets, this was a newly created key position. The selected candidate would be an integral part of developing and maintaining the client's largest customers. As first point of contact, critical to this position is ensuring the service received meets the customers' requests. The ideal candidate would be bilingual to serve both the needs in English and Spanish speaking countries.
TRS Consulting evaluated over 40 candidates, internally interviewed 15, and of those 15 presented nine candidates to the client. TRS Consulting then coordinated nine telephone interviews between the Divisional Manager in the UK and all nine candidates in the US... a six hour time difference. Five candidates were selected to move forward in the process for in-person interviews in Minnesota. Three candidates were chosen for final interviews. TRS Consulting orchestrated the video teleconferences between the candidates in the US, the Divisional Manger in the UK, the Sales Manager in Brazil and the Operations Manager in Mexico.
