Initially, on their own, this client conducted an eight-month search to recruit a Vice President of Sales for their Food Ingredients Division. After an unsuccessful exhaustive search, TRS Consulting was engaged with an exclusive contingent contract to locate suitable candidates. The key position required multiple strong skill sets. Managing and driving six direct reports, maintaining a strategic leadership role to design, evaluate and implement actionable sales strategies and plans. Achieve and exceed division goals; including growth plans, competitive product analysis, product regulations and competitive intelligence.
TRS Consulting evaluated over 25 candidates and qualified nine for internal interviews. TRS Consulting conducted the initial interviews and three candidates were presented to the client for face-to-face interviews. In addition to thorough and intensive interviews, the client interview process required a third party talent assessment evaluation.
TRS Consulting was able to place a candidate with a proven track record in developing and implementing effective sales strategies from a similar sector. This candidate is anticipated to step into the EVP of the Global Sales Division.
